Decorative Glass Overlay

Decorative glass overlay is the modern equivalent of traditional stained glass.

The big difference however, is that instead of cutting small pieces of coloured glass and soldering them together with lead came, decorative glass overlay uses a single sheet of glass, coloured films and adhesive backed lead to create a design that is an art form in its own right.

During the workshop students will learn how to interpret a drawing, choose from a variety of designs, coloured films, etc and apply the materials to glass.

It is hoped that students will be able to complete a glass panel approx 12”x 12” during the class. This can then be framed at a later date if required.

There is no experience needed and all materials equipment etc will be supplied.
